Description
...just a bit of fun with a scissortail.
Will catch up in a day or so, have been one huge miserable itch
from -several- dozen chigger bites, couldn't eat, sleep, walk, sit, etc.
Boggles the mind why the good Lord created some creatures!
Thanks for looking.

terrific pic Maria... like it so very much!
Fantastic and very opportune shot Maria......!!!!!
What a wonderful fun shot!!!! Excellent work Maria... and I'm with you on certain bugs!!! Harry mentions tics and I would like to add mozzies!!! Grrrr. :)
I had to look up "chigger bites", not only do they sound painful, they look very angry, I don't envy you in the least. Hope they heal quick for you. Excellent capture of the antics of this bird, the one flying showing a great example of how it got its name. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
A fantastically good pic! What a chigger? A Mosquito?
A totally beautiful capture, you have them all in different positions, Maria. Sure hope you feel better soon. Hugs. Diane. xx
This looks so fantastic and these are birds that I have not seen before. I hope you are without chiggers itching now :)
Mara, it's a miracle!
the ointment that replaced the pink colored one, works well for chigger bites.last year I got bit like crazy at Samuel farm. now I pre-use insect repellent beautiful scissortails
so cool! a chorus line! magnificent capture!!!
Fantastic shot, great capture!
There are 4 things about Texas I DON'T miss...the mosquitos, the snakes, the roaches and the chiggers. :-) So sorry to hear about your trouble with the redbugs. I guess if you have that many, you can't paint the bites with clear nailpolish or you'll end up covered head to toe in a plastic coating. Camphophenic is my remedy when all else fails. I gotta say, this stupendous shot would take my mind off anything...even the other 3 deadly irritations I mentioned above. Super job.
Really nice and sweet ;O)
Very beautiful catch a formidable whole with each one its task. Cheer to show us this fresco of the life. Mile mercies ((5++)) Très belle prise un tout formidable à chacun sa tâche . Bravo de nous démontrer cette fresque de la vie . Mile mercis ((5++))
