Description
Special -Flowers 2
This Apocynaceae Adenium, a plant from Tropical Africa, we have recently often seen in Vietnam. A typical location was in pots around temples.
However, this photo has been taken (April 2008) in the historical Hortus-Botanicus in Leiden (founded in 1594), in The Netherlands, it is the largest Apocynceae I have seen so far. This one is however in a greenhouse, but also growing in a pot and flowering, year after year with beautiful colored flowers!! A pleasure for the eyes!!
Thanks for your time,
Have a very nice weekend
Henk

Wow - gorgeous!!
Look at those great throats on those flowers! So very pretty. I would think of them as tropical by the size and thickness of petals.
