Testing out glowing mat as per a thread in the Bryce Forum here. Interesting topic.

Great mat and cool lighting.
Interesting. It looks like your wall and floor materials have an 'ambient' value. When dealing with lights I tend to switch all ambience off for any material that isn't supposed to be emitting light. Good mat work - keep it up.

Thanks alexclark, but you should know that the ambient value for all the material in this rendering has been set to zero with the exception of those of the orbs.
