Description
As a boy I always knew these as weeds. We find the this color or bright yellow. Common names include devils paintbrush and in the north east indian paintbrush as well. There is some sort of egg or larve on the lower one if you look in full screen view. Thanks for looking and any comments. -GB-

A weed ???...Looks pretty enough to be called a rose :) Really enjoyed the large view of this...remarkable details you got. Love the bold colors...Well Done!
Beautiful!
Excellent capture.
Very nice macro shot my friend.
Lovely colours and clarity and excellent details on this impressive weed/flower. Hugs xx
Quite impressive flower !
yes I have found an Indian paintbrush in Wy is different than what we are used to. Beautiful picture
A very different type of Indian Paintbrush than what the southern states call Indian Paintbrush but equally as beautiful. Like fire! Stunning macro.
Wow! Very interesting indeed! Rare to have captured that larvae! I like how you've composed the two images within one, to give it that unique perspective.... The stem is unique and a lovely texture as well! Very much an image brought to life!
I grow this in my UK garden to clash with a bright purple Geranium! I have to say that 'if you give it and inch it will take a mile' as the saying goes!
that's one mighty beautiful weed
Beautiful intense colors, weeds or no weeds, they are wonderful!
Lovely! Thanks for providing their names. I was snapping these today believe it or not and I thought: "I'll bet GBCalls would know what these are called". And sure enough...
Very beautiful flower and macro!!
