Description
Passing Earth's moon
This is my first post in 4 months, even though I have been quite busy (creating over 40 new images) all of my work has been devoted to my clients. This picture is of my spaceship USS Savannah during one last inspection of Savannah's nuclear engines prior to its first burn.
You can see Earth's moon off to the left as the Savannah leaves Earth and the moon in preparation for TJI (Trans Jupiter injection).
The model was created in both Bryce 5.5 and 6.1 then rendered in 5.5. This was done because version 5.5 seems to handle memory and computer resources better than 6.1.
With Bryce 5.5 I am still able to handle large files sizes over 1 gig and still able to manipulate the file; Bryce 6.1 will just freeze or crash. It does not matter how much resources you have it is always the same results.
I hope to have some new work and models ready to display in the comings months. Thanks again for taking the time to view and comment on my work, it is much appreciated.
Cheers,
David

Top notch sci fi.
Wow, I think this is one of your best, ever! Where oh where did you get that moon? The details in the textures are incredible! While I suspect it might not actually look so "bumpy" from that distance, the effect is really cool!
Nice view! Yeah, I'm having problems with big files and Bryce 6.1 too, as I mentioned in the last picture I managed to post.
This is spectacular. Excellent lighting and material choices. Very authentic. I agree about the Version problems. I get crashes more often with the upgrade. Since I use Vista, I am used to crashes anyway! :)
Very fine science fiction render. Know what you mean about those crashes with Bryce 6+! Very irritating to be kept to a file size of around 300MK or less, when we used to get close to a 750MB+ with the earlier version.
Once again - annoyingly brilliant!
Fantastically detailed, very credible. Love the EVA guy as well. Nice work!!

As always another masterpiece!
