Description
The first of a series of British Wildlife images taken today at a wonderful place I hope to start to do some photography Work shops in the near future.
Red foxes live around the world in many diverse habitats including forests, grasslands, mountains, and deserts. They also adapt well to human environments such as farms, suburban areas, and even large communities. The red fox's resourcefulness has earned it a legendary reputation for intelligence and cunning.
Red foxes are solitary hunters who feed on rodents, rabbits, birds, and other small game—but their diet can be as flexible as their home habitat. Foxes will eat fruit and vegetables, fish, frogs, and even worms. If living among humans, foxes will opportunistically dine on garbage and pet food.

Excellent shot, fantastic details and beautiful light
Not just a bird master I see!! Excellent image of and comments on this magnificent animal Danny! :)
was für ein schöner Fuchs! Gut, dass ihn keiner "erwischt" hat! Hervorragendes Wildtier-Foto!
Lovely capture. He does seem to be plotting something.
You make it sound like the red fox is like an elite raccoon. :-) they are often referred to as cunning and sly, and that's because they CAN and DO adapt and learn quickly. Our I have observed the gray fox in the desert here and did some reading. Their ability to climb trees is only shared with the Asian Raccoon Dog among canids. They are also omnivors but eat more vegetable matter than its cousin the red fox. They are monogomous and they are nocturnal. I'll stop there lest I bore the masses. BECAUSE the point here is, this is a stellar shot.(How's that for beating around the bush? LOL) The cunningness of their personality, the alertness, and the intelligence are all very well seen in this shot.
