Description
While I was having a little 'spree' in the garden centre yesterday, I came across this little one.
The full bloom is a whole one centimetre in length!
This is Bacillaris Fuchsia.
I had quite a time getting any sort of a shot of it though, having to be so close to it, and even my slightest breath made it react like a hurricane had just gone by!
Thanks to kaward, I was able to get the following information from Google.
Absolutely miniature, 1/2" flowers of dazzling pink and rose red emerge between 1/4 to 3/8 inch leaves. Collected from a fuchsia show in the Seattle area (capital of Cappucino, Fushsias and cooler summers), yet it grew great during our summer heat. Since September, Lottie Hobby has not stopped flowering, indoors. Use in railroad gardens on edges of raised beds or in miniature landscapes as the trailing feature. Did you know that fuchsia flowers and the fruit, are not only edible, but they are darn right tasty!
Many thanks for the time you take to visit and comment.

Very pretty shot!
This is one of my favourite fuchsias. There is a named form called "Lottie Hobby" dating back to victorian times.I have often seen them trained as a flowering bonsai, because of the small leaves and flowers.
Hello, kaward..........Thank you for this information.....I hadn't seen this very small one before.........I will google Lottie Hobby now! Thanks!
Stellar clarity, colors and composition in this capture! Haven't seen one of these demure pink beauties in ages!
If I'd had to guess, I would have said these were bad for you in a salad, rather than something tasty and safe! Huh. Well, I learn something new every day! Thanks! :)
