I can see why she's taken with it. Its a very interesting tree and seems to be pointing skyward to one side. The green grass is like a carpet...fantastic.

I used to take shots of dead trees all the time and without realising it I had built up quite a collection so I can see what the fascination is. This one looks very tall next to June there. nice shot Mick.

I echo all the above Mick, a very intriguing shot, and as someone has already said even in death there is a certain beauty, I talk in plant terms here not human. It also raises the question why? what caused this once beautiful tree to die like this? The grass around the base looks healthy enough. It looks like it has been dead for a couple of years at least, you can see where the bark has been stipped from it's branches, why has it been left here? It looks like farm land as well as a walk way, if I was the farmer that would be chopped up by now for winter fuel for the wood burner. I think I would be stood there just like June is, after taking a number of shots myself that is. Excellent capture both the tree and June, her inclusion gives us a sense of scale. Bravo!!!!!
