Description
View from the ferry between Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotish Mainland, and Kyleakin, Isle of Skye. The view is toward the east showing 3,383-ft. high Ben Attow in the distance shrouded in rain showers. To the left is Kyle of Lochalsh and on the right are the ruins of Castle Moil, near the harbor of Kyleakin, Isle of Skye. The ruins of the present building of Castle Moil date back to the 15th century, but it is traditionally reputed to be of much ealier origin.
The Sky Bridge has replaced the ferry and is now linking the Scotish Mainland with the Isle of Skye at this point.
I had left Inverness very early that day on the train and it was a very pleasant ride through the Scotish Highlands watching the various Lochs and watching the sun rising over this desolate but beautiful area.
This picture was taken on 6 October 1988 and later scanned.

ces nuages sont impressionnants. belle photo.
moody capture..excellent
fantastische Szene! Wunderbar Aufnahme!
Very moody!
One can see why the King of England would arrive unannounced in the mid of Winter to subdue a castle. No better time to meet an unhappy Scot than right away.
Lovely dreamy image Sig! I still want to visit the Scottish Highlands and lake district! :)
Great image Sig, I like the perspective of this shot, great work my friend.
Isle of Skye so entirely worthy of its name. Another dreamscape of an image.
