morning all :o)
well we had a day full of warmth and sunshine yesterday and possibly today aswell :o)..cleared out some more bits and bobs that wont be needed anymore like ashleigh`s old paddling pool .it was`nt just thrown though ,it was passed on to someone else who would use it for their little ones .ashleigh has been so laden with schoolwork ,homework ,s.a.t.exams and the activities she does that her picture taking has taken a back seat for a while .she took some the other day for a school project she has to do about the environment of houses ,trees ect ,so hopefully she will post some .trouble is she has`nt got time to be a kid anymore so when she wants to play when she`s finished all her bits its usually time to get ready for bed ..i dont think the little ones are given enough time to be kids anymore putting them under a lot of pressure to early in their young lives .i have been known on occasion to help her so she can have a bit of time to herself :o)

Boy do I agree, Mick! There are two sets of 3 words that make my blood boil: Health and Safety, and Standard Attainment Targets! Grrrr! Because of the latter there is little time to be a child as you say, and when there is time most of the stuff that used to be good fun is BANNED because some plonker in an office is frightened of being sued. I forget which village it is that is felling the Monkey Puzzle tree on the green because the bits that fall off are prickly, saw it on TV last week. And no pancake race in York because someone might slip on one etc etc etc. My Mum used to encourage risk taking and my brother and I are healthy and have no external pieces missing. Phew! I feel better after that rant! Super macro, by the way.
I was just wondering about Ashleigh, where she was. I couldn't agree with you more about the stuff they pike on these kids; it's way too much. Good for you for helping her once in a while; she's too young to have all that kind of schoolwork. At least she'll be done soon, and get back to being a kid. Great macro, BTW, even the lowly fly can be beautiful!!

Great capture. Is it on a sutf board or nearing the end of the runway ? Beaut macro. Couldn't agree with more Mick, on the demands places on the youngsters. They don't have time to be kids, world over. Alittle sad me thinks.

Excellent shot of the hover fly Mick, he looks to be covered in pollen so he's doing his job well, going around pollenating the flowers. Good dof on this as well, they don't stay still for long, I know from experience so you did well to get this macro.. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! I can't agree more regarding the kids of today, and I hate the same three words as Angela, as well as the initials P.C. Going in Saturday morning at 8:30hrs for injections by the way.

Excellent macro here Mick! With a bit of luck the sun will come out this summer it's not to long till the kids summer holidays Ashleigh should get the time to do all the things she wants then. Hopefully she will take some more super photos.
