Description
This is from the azalea walk as well, though I have no idea what it is. If I'd paid attention while the guide was talking, guess I'd know!! What I do know is that I love whatever this is, and the way this foto looks!!

Its called a dang fine looking bunch of little flowers! I used to grow them myself. :-) And I have a shot of one that is similar but in blue. I love the clarity in this macro. Fabulous!

gorgeous flower and excellent capture !!
I think your name for it is spot on dear lady, it does indeed resemble a pin cushion, it shall henceforth be known as the 'Pincushion(Pinkush stoneosis)'. Roflmao. Now then what do you think of that? Superb capture Marilyn, I don't like tour guides either, you need to have a tape recorder going to catch everything they say, so that you can play it back slow to take it all in. Well I do. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
What a stunning shot of these dainty "dang fine looking bunch of little flowers"!!!! lol... Really a very sweet image Marilyn. Were your head in the clouds by any chance when the guide explained what these were??? Hmmmmmmmm... :)
well done!
Beautiful capture of this gorgeous blossom.
Looks a little like a floral hedgehog. It's probably an original species of azalea - but who cares? it's a great shot! Mike
Well, I like it too wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
delicious shot brava
really beautiful shot!
Say, if I squint at it long enough, I could swear it's an Australian echidna anteater. In any event, that is really a purty ball of petals, pods and stamens. Even trippy!
Beautiful!...glad you got some fantastic shots before you bailed on tour!
Beautiful shot Marylin
super looking
Way cool! I have no idea what that is. Bet it has berries of some sort later on! :)
Nice capture... Wish I could help you. Aloha
