What a beautiful tree and great shots, Jocko!
awesome trees!!!
this is the same tree just diff pov
I have never seen a tree like that! Splendid photos! :)
A fine old tree Jock! A little bit different in shape to the English Oak, but still a fine specimen :)
We have a huge oak tree like this in England called The Major Oak, situated in Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. A semi-fictional character called 'Robin Hood' was supposed to have hidden in the Major Oak tree to escape the Sheriff of Nottingham's men. Great pictures Jock! This is a really fine tree.
You captured the graceful tree very well, and yes, it's one that wouldn't make it through one of our winters, let alone fifty or a hundred of them.
I love live oaks and this is a fine example and pretty shot ! *** H u g s ***
What a gorgeous, ancient-like tree. Great captures, Jock.
Beautiful...
It is a fabulous spreading oak. Trees like this are family trees. They provide shade, entertainment, a place to rest, a place to stop to eat...a place to get to know your family. They are comfort trees. These are marvelous shots of this tree.
great tree and fotos. how old did you say this tree was?
Fantastic tree, must be at least a couple of hundred years old ! Kool series of captures, now we get see even more of this wonderful specimen! ~Cheers~
That is the most fantastic shots of that tree! Now it's easy to see where Tolkien's idea for the "Ents" came from...
it old all I know. most likely well over 100 years for sure
Great capture here Jock, the charecter in this old tree, what stories could it tell if it were able to speak.
great shots!
This is an amazing tree! I absolutely LOVE it! I have never seen a tree that bent its branches to the earth like this one. It is inviting us to come and climb up into its branches! I am in awe of this masterpiece of nature. God did good, didn't he?
I bet that the children enjoyed climbing in this old oak tree.It looks like a good one to play on.Nice shots.
Man, that is one big mother! I like those long wicked limbs and branches that reach out and grab people so they can be imprisoned by the trolls that live inside the massive trunk. Lots of stark light and dark contrasts in these fine shots, Jock.
Excellent!
