Description
Back to Hawaii National Park at the volcano again. Did not visit the lava flow because of the barricade by civil defense. This area here, lava flowed in 1974 creating these little rock formation. You won't see it from the highway but a little walk will do you good. Aloha and thank you for viewing

an awesome place to visit and your capture is extraordinary
...schön, dass Du uns Deine Insel zeigst. Wunderbare Aufnahme!!!
Well even so it is amazing how nature has reclaimed so of the terrain.. I have been to some volcanic islands even after a 100 years still look barren.. Another great shot for your superb series
Neat formation. Worth zooming in on for the detail.
excellent capture of this rock formation my friend, great work !!
great shot:)
nature takes what it wants, when it wants it. Mt. St. Helens came back so quickly after its explosion (of course, that was ash and gas rather than lava flow...) I can see here that the Island is pushing to "fill in the gaps." Excellent shot.
It fascinates me Errol that the plants grow here.A wonderful capture in every way. Aloha. Diane.
Wonderful to see how much green there is.
Excellent capture, I once saw an image/video of this, it was depicting the pyroclastic flow was awesome!
Just so fascinating to see these things, awesome shot.
I've seen videos of what happened here, it's awesome to see how nature comes back, brings more beauty to the land. And you are so right, a little walk is always good for the soul!! It's my favorite meditation.
Even the flowers came back... Awwww mother nature is sure amazing!!!! excellent catch Errol!!!! Aloha...
Interesting that things are starting to grow again even after being so hot. I like the shapes of the lava as it has cooled.
Terrific POV and textures in this capture! Looks like chocolate frosting on a huge devil food cake.
wonderful to see how mother nature work. very good rock formations too
fascinating and a great photo
Excellent capture!!
looks like a little shack almost. Great shot!
I really like looking around these places from way over here.
