Description
Bald Eagles like other raptors don't sweat as they thermo-regulate body temperature by panting or via non feathered body parts. However they do seem to always drip fluid via the nasal cavities and down the beak after a long flight, this is one way they also rid themselves of excessive salt, or by sneezing, the feather from a preening remained stuck despite the flight. This impressive eagle was looking out for her mate to return looking out over the Valley of Eagles at the Hawk Conservancy.
