Description
Here's another shot from Jill's house.
This wonderful lamp sways in the slightest breeze and makes the most delightful sound. The breeze was from the air conditioner, of course - at 95F we didn't have any windows open! (But it's a DRY heat! ... HA!)
Each of the discs is shell, or abalone ... I've forgotten, now. Jill says it's quite heavy.

Somebody did a great job of putting it together...like the lighting...
It looks like a money plant sculpture. :-) Great composition; I really like that nice warm light.
They're called capiz shells and I love them, and I love this foto, it's beautiful!!!
Reminds of the Philippines. I can't rememder the white stack. But I will!
Yeah, It's a dry heat.... Like the freakin' oven... LOL! Great shot of this unique light!
Mbz2662 sent me into fits of laughter. Dry heat or not, 95 is still 95 and that is too darn hot for me. What a beautiful lamp. I would love to sit in a rocker and listen to it as I relaxed and enjoyed the evening.
I haven't seen one of these since the early 70s. Gorgeous shot and the light through the shells makes this glow.
Fantastic composition and lighting.Super shot.
I like the look of these, and it is a superb photo! But I wonder how you clean it!
They do make a lot of noise with the slightest breeze. Nice capture. Aloha
Wow... you caught this perfectly... looks fantastic!
Such a warm and gentle light, a beautiful shot, Tara. Hugs. Diane. xx

How many times I've heard that ol' "But it's a DRY heat" LOL ....imo, heat is heat :o) ...."cool" capture dear T S
Somebody had some patience, I wouldn't like to string that lot. Fantastic capture, and lighting is great, Dennis's description of a money plant sculpture! Good idea use the money tree it would make a very light light. English eh! two words spelled the same two different meanings. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
What a tremendous phtograph - a symphony in lights! Mike
Excellent! A 'softness' seems to come through, & the llighting is gorgeous!
WOW ! This is such a wonderful shot. So lovely clors and light. Superb !
Silence is the alarm that says the air conditioner has failed!

The lamp looks fantastic! (Mustn't show my wife, she'll definitely want one.) Beautiful light and capture. You and your friends have great taste and class (I always appreciate the qualities I lack).
Oh yes, I can hear the tinkle-tinkle from here, and what a unique lamp, so esoteric! Terrific variety of lighting effects in this shot, my dear friend! But a dry 95F temperature way up your way really surprises me. I thought that was strictly the purview of the southwestern portion of the country.
