Modelling/rendering: Strata 3D Pro 3.7
Post work, image optimization: Ulead PhotoImpact 7
I've been playing with Strata Pro for a while now, reading the manual multiple times and online tutorials whenver I find one; it was then time for a real test to see how close I could come to a simple photo-realistic piece.
Not quite there yet, but close.
Conclusion: if a dunce like me can come this close, then either Strata 3D can perform miracles with even the least of talent (that would be me), or, I just lucked out. :)
This program's rendering engine is top notch, barring none.
I can't wait to do some architectural stuff with this, now.

looking at this, it occurred to me, we make our own "luck" don't we? now, i can't wait to see said architectural stuff, if it's as good as this, it will be worth your studies and effort, and worth my wait!
If you can do that in dunce mode, just think what you are capable of when you really try... :)
just use the smart button... but i really don't think you really need to use it much.... this is gorgeous
