Another view of one of my favorite spider species. This is a Mabel Orchard Spider and it is about 1/4" ( 6mm) long.

What a wonderful shot. I have a passion for spiders, and I cannot get over how colourful this one is. One thing I have waited for for a long time was seeing a spider catch the wind to attach a thread to a distant object and I was wowed. These guys are smart!
You certainly captured the intricate pattern and the amazing body and legs of this spider. Awesome. The lighting is good as well. Stellar macro.
ein "aufregendes" Motiv! Solche Spinnen bieten sich mir nicht als Model an! Sehr schöne Aufnahme!
This is a fantastic and surprising shot. I like spiders quite a lot and I've never seen this species before! I love the colorful patterns on this critter as well. As always, your clarity is stunning and gorgeous, you manage to catch and pull out the best details! As always, great work!
Superb details and colors :)
I find myself agreeing with you that these are beautiful little things... Marvelous shot!
Superb capture. Excellent colors. Aloha
A very elegant 'pose' this time, Lee. beautifully composed image, I wish we had a colourful one like this here. We do have wasp spiders but they are quite rarely seen.
The colours and details is just lovely.. Great work
Superb clarity and detail with great dof, its great to see a spider actually spinning its web. I have to agree with bee, these guys are very clever. We had a web with one anchor point about three foot long, although the web itself was only about eight inches in diameter. Excellent capture and presentation. Bravo!!!!!
Perfect macro capture!! Excellent!!!
Very well done.
fantastic macro work... you must have steady hand to pull these macro's shots with a tripod.
Such delicate beauty and color. Gorgeous macro shot. Bunny
