Description
This creeping climber bush is an old style rose, from a cutting of the old plant my mother had, a bush of 55 years in her yard. She got hers from her mom when a child and her mother from hers..we suspect the original came over from somewhere in the UK (perhaps Wales)many years ago. ...that is the family story.
Mine bush requires aggressive tying back to contain the vigorous new canes. Now, the bush is covered in blooms. (Last year after a freeze caught the buds, we had two blooms total.)

Beautiful rose, and a great story, Tom.
These are gorgeous roses! And a climber you say. That is marvelous since climbers seem to be sturdier in the long run. What a fabulous family story behind it. A touching capture.

Wonderful shot
A beautiful rose and capture, Tom. Such history too. I am glad you have the joy of this plant... Hugs and God Bless. Diane.
How beautiful they are. I am sure that they have a story running through the roots of this wonderful bush. The pale pink reminds me of simpler and finer days. My Dad, who is passed away, once spoke of a rose bush without thorns that grew at his 'homeplace' in Pennsylvania. I don't know of any such rose in existence. Maybe in his memories it never had any thorns because he looked past them to the beauty of it. This is one of those special thought provoking captures for me.
