East Lancashire Railway 1940's War Weekend.
Me and JeffG7BRJ had another day out, this one is only 4 or 5 miles from where we live.
The EAST LANCASHIRE RAILWAY UK. runs STEAM TRAINS from Bury through to Ramsbottom and on to Rawtenstall. This is a return journey and some trains also run to Heywood.
Taken Today Saturday May 24th 2008.
I took a few days off from Render to re-group my brain cells lol.

EXTRAORDINÁRIA FOTO HISTÓRICA FANTÁSTICA COR.++++++++5
Good job. Your image is very well done. 5+.
Looks great! The good old days when the engins had a lung and a soul..... Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful photo! Looks like you were standing on the tracks to get this shot!
great foto, looks like my marklin toy train has come to life. If you like trains try the program called TRAINZ its a great simulator.
Beautiful foto, it could have been taken years and years ago, the sepia tone is perfect!!
GENIAL!!!!!!!!!!!
stunning composition! I love all the many components in this and your postwork is excellent.
I missed you while you were regrouping, but certainly understand the need to do other things! :) This is a wonderful shot. I LOVE the composition!
I wondered where you'd got to, Alan! This is a splendid image, takes me back to my childhood.
Nice capture Alan i like the sepia tone, excellent well done..
I live these sepia colors ! Great locomotive too !
Great image Alan with the tracks leading the eye into the image! Excellent work my friend! :)
Great authentic look. awesome capture and the post work is superb.
I missed this shot Alan, taken from the end of platform 1, I do notice however, this is the Dambuster Raider, they must have been getting it ready to roll, as you can see there is no nameplate on the front of it and only one lamp. I thought that name plate looked new. Lol. I had a great day but I'm paying for it now, my legs are four inches shorter and I ache like hell. I'm up for another visit tomorrow though(I don't think so!). Superb composition and excellent postwork, it really does look circa 1940's. Stunning! Bravo!!!!!
Beautiful capture and postwork Alan!
Lovely light and shade... fabulous! I must visit this place!
Looks fantastic in sepia tooning.
Wonderful capture! i love trains too!
Great shot, but that is an unusual-looking engine to be 100% British in design.
This engine was from the USA,it had a metal plate on the side with inscription reading - LIMA Locomotive works incorporated, LIMA, OHIO-USA June 1945.
Very nice capture!
Very stylish, nostalgic photo. Thank you.
