Description
Well, I gotta admit, this was a pretty exciting moment for me, capturing this Egret. FINALLY, one allowed me to get somewhat close to it (9 miles close lol) without it flying away before having the chance to shoot. This one was fun; it stood in the marsh for a while; quite a distance away, then flew up in the trees - I never knew they did that. It looked WRONG to me, this tall, skinny, long legged bird up in a tree like that. lol Well, here she is in flight, against the most beautiful blue sky, it was quite a moment for me. It's no Nameless Wildness shot, Danob, Luis or Boris shot, but its mine. :)
Hope you have a wonderful day today. Thanks for stopping by.
Shari

What a take off capture, I just love the timing and POV as well as the fully open wings. You may never get a chance like this one, perfect against the blue skies. Have a good weekend!

I know what you mean by "...but it's mine".lol. And with pics like this, I am willing to bet, they only get better/closer next time. Keep up the good work and congrats!! PS I like the fact you got some tree in the shot too. Gives it that something more.
The trees on the right side are wonderful for balance and adding to the interest. Fabulous moment to capture with the wings fully open like that. Stunning shot.

Well captured Shari, very well done. It sure does look magnificent in flight, and I love your framing too, hugs Jane xx
really beautiful bird!
Awesome shot, Shari! Congratulations on such a fine photo!
Beautiful balance between the bird and the branches. A gorgeous capture, like an angel in flight.
A lovely frame encompasses this photo of the magnificent egret, wings extended without regret, soaring high into the pristine blue sky! Except for a flock of pigeons, I would never be able to catch a bird like that in flight. But, with your Snow White charisma, it's no problem.
I always think it is so weird and amazing to see one of these birds flying or sitting up on a rooftop or in a tree. Congratulations on this lovely capture!
