Description
If the Land of Oz had caves, this is what you would find. Or maybe it's a room somewhere in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
Okay, I took the rose that I had previously posted on May 8, 08, and this time just for the fun of it applied the Polar Coordinates filter, with these amazing and unexpected results. You even have the tips of some stalagmites sticking up at the bottom of the picture.
So we have the postworked version in the top photo, and the original on the bottom.
Thanks for the visit, and have a worthwhile work week.

Nice work ! Bravo!
It makes me feel hungry....don't ask! Super image, quite exciting.
SUCH A WONDERFUL SOFT BEAUTIFUL PINK ROSE...NICE PLAY WITH LIGHT AND SHADE
Brilliant! Take a bow! I'm off to try this again right now. I done the same sort of thing a wee while ago... http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1014073&member Interesting effect from the flower, I wonder what else would be a good subject for this?
very cool postwork. I got to watch my head so i will not hit my head on the cave ceiling
But if Jocko did hit his head, it wouldn't hurt at all, cuz these are as soft as clouds~~~what a great idea!!
Wowww ... great effect, my friend! I love the feeling you achieved with your postwork. Cotton candy caves, or maybe strawberry frosting. Beautiful!
Very beautiful and very nice image.
Superb shot and fantastic postwork, looks beautiful and impressive.
Beautiful pink flowers...
Fantastic shot.
It reminds me of when I learned the difference between stalactites (hang from the roof) and stalactmites (rise from the floor) and that they can form a column if they meet. Classification leads to taxonomy.
I wote on Willy Wonka factory and a strawberry filling of the most yummiest choco. Great stuff Harry, something different with rose capture with your entertaining postwork.
Wonderful Work!!!!
It's like a candy image! Wonderful shot.
