Description
This impressive bird is the largest European eagle, with huge club-ended wings which make the bright white tail seem small. The head and beak are large and protrude forward, giving the eagle a very regal look.. They are alpha predators and require a large habitat which makes them prone to being endangered and pesticides in prey.
Once common in Northern parts of the UK and
Scotland.. They have been re-introduced and appear to be doing well.
They have also been released now in a national Park in Ireland, where I hope to capture some wild shots in July..
Thanks for taking time to look and any comments, best viewed full size.

A regal creature indeed, dear Danny, you have captured him perfectly. An outstanding shot, I too hope you will be able to capture this creature with your camera, in the wild. Wonderful work. Hugs. DiDi. xx

Fantastic photo, have a incredible detail....!!!!
I just can get enough of your fabulous birds of prey - portraits especially in that quality and high resolution! So thanks for sharing!! :)
I echo all the above Danny, wonderful detail, the eye as sharp as a pin, I would hate to get on the wrong side of that beak, it may be a fish eater but I aint taking no chances. Hope you realise your ambition of catching one in the wild, it would be fantastic if you do. I can't even to begin to imagine the joy that would bring. Superb top notch photography. Bravo!!!!!
