Description
Kind of an odd looking thing I think; I think the first Bee Fly I had ever seen was just last summer. My pussy willow is blooming now; as you can see, the bush is covered in a variety of bee's. I was in my glory out there with my Nikon and 90mm :)
Hope you are having a nice day; my gosh, today is beautiful -- Minnesota is FINALLY looking and feeling like spring. I don't want to miss a minute of it, but wanted to upload quick. :)
Take care, and thanks for stopping by.
Shari

superb.... this is exquisite!
An excellent macro, wonderful nature with brilliant light, great! "pussy willow" sounds really funny...;-)
Shoo fly pie, and apple pan dowdy... Good macro of the busy insect at work, Shar, pollinating the bloom or absorbing whatever nourishment from the stamens of this appetizing pussy willow.
Feed the world...great supplies of mother nature, something there for everybody. I guess spring has sprung for your part of the world, as we are preparing for autumn. Nicely composed capture. BB
I've never heard of a Bee Fly and I never want to see one! It would necessitate a new dance..the Bee Fly dance! Gosh, do that bite? Sting? oh, who cares! Great shot and you are so very brave to go near a plant that lures in bees of any type!
Great macro, wonderful shot!!
