Description
As I was walking along the Atlantic coast last month in Georgia, I saw all kinds of new birds. Lucky for me, there was a sign with fotos and descriptions of the most commonly seen in this spot. I believe this is a tern of some kind (from whence the title springs!!), but if I'm wrong, I hope someone will tell me!!

Interesting bird portrait. Never seen this species before... Nice capture. Aloha
Sorry can't help you with the name Marilyn but its a fluffy little tern if that's what it is. An excellent capture of it on this barnacle covered rock, You have better luck with your bird shots than I did with mine at the Zoo, all I got was netting. Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
Very chucklesome title Marilyn! Great photo of course! Mike
Great capture of this cutie Marilyn. I love his ' feathered coat.' Great work my friend. xx
He looks like he's shaking of the water. Wonderful colors and lighting.
it looks like a Turnstone to me, so your title is apt. (in the US, it is known as Ruddy Turnstone)
it is very cute what ever it is. nice capture my friend :)
excellent capture, he's a cute little fella, great work !!
Great photo, glad you got a snap before the bird flew away, I always seem to have that problem. Well done, I hope you had fun on your trip!
Amazing capture!!
I don't care what it's called, but it's a definite favourite!
He's certainly busy and must have found something very appetizing on that rocky area.

Great title anyway Marilyn whatever it is and its a sweet capture, looks very young this bird. I also like the Depth of Field.
Fantastic capture of this poor wet/maybe cold guy!!!
very cute!!
How lucky to find such a beautiful bird Marilyn, fabulous shot! hugs Jane xx
Hey, you're as punnish as me! Tern for Turn, indeed. Actually, when all is said and done, ternabout is fair play. Love the clarity, colors and light/shadow effects, especially in the disheveled feathers, Marilyn!
Oh, I love it and I want to take it home with me! Those ruffled feathers are great and make it look so vulnerable. Splendid.
Excellent photography and image, well done... ROBY ;o)
Gosh, this just makes me want to stroke it and pass on my love. How very touching.
Great capture! Such beautiful, fluffy feathers. Whatever it is, it's very pretty! Ummm ... it's your tern.
Gorgeous shot! I love this little critter's fluffy feathers and the clarity of this shot. I don't know that much about birds, but oh well...it doesn't stop me from enjoying this image!
