Description
"Cloaked in secrecy, and years in development, Reen-Oh's top spaceship designers worked on the Grand Experiment, combining the design qualities of the opposing Vay-Gas ships with the well-known ruggedness and firepower of the Reen-Oh battle Cruisers. When her keel was laid, she was named the "Jahrili Loo-S", but after launching, she became known as "The Killer"
Based on the sleek hull designs of the Vay-Gas ships, yet skinned as much as possible with "Dealers", she was fast, maneuverable, and heavy hitting. Crew luxury was not a consideration, as she was designed to have hammocks laid out beside the guns.
The designers were aboard for the shakedown cruise when one of the Chip Runners asked a very important question....
"Uh, sir... where's the Head?"
"The What?"
"The Head, sir... the Water Closet.... you, know, the bathroom?"
The head designer looked around in panic at the serious design flaw, and all he could say was "Oops".
Without a way for the crew to relieve themselves, the Jahrili Loo-S was now relegated to short term, training missions, and fast, planetary defence. The Grand Experiment was a total flush, not a royal flush.
The Lounge Wars, Chapter 4 Reen-Oh Tools of the Trade
Drifterlee brought up the subject about toilets in space in my Patrol Pyramids scene, and there's also a thread in the Poser Forum about starship design and bat'rooms......
silliness has return'd....the best thing to have in a bathroom is Lego.
So, come on down to the Lounge, have yourself a cold one (or a hot one, if Sake is your bent), and join us... there's always room!

The Enterprise from the original Star Trek series suffered from the same design flaw. It was believed crew members crapped in a corner and phasered the waste away. I believe the offending olifactory steam emitting from the "Set for kill" phasering of the awaiting turd was enough to keep the Klingons from ever boarding a Federation Starship. As too here in the Reen-oh Jahrili Loo-S.
Great write up, I love a little story to accompany the image. Love the image as well, a very imaginative contraption you have here. Well done, thanks for sharing.
Mmm...done in by a small but important design flaw...I guess if you were really busting to go, one could always hold their breath and use a air-lock ! Imagine the the enemy and the horror the pilots faces when hit by feces, could actually be a design plus ? Got me thinking space toilet humour...hehe ! Well done & ~Cheers~
You can always take a long port-a-pottys, LOL!!!
