Description
It's the first manned mission to Mars in a brand new space craft design. Yep, we've finally managed to get there. They were hoping, however, that the huge dust storm circling the planet would be abated when they arrived. Unfortunately, it's just getting started.
Enjoy and thanks for viewing and commenting.
Space craft modeled by myself using Bryce primitives and quite a bit of mat tweaking. This was a 5+ hour render time with a dual-core processor.

Outstanding planet!
Excellent modelling work and excellent scifi and render. Amazing, I'd like to say atmosphere but there isn't any in space... Excellent work...
This is amazing, the textures on Mars is superb and excellent modelling of the spaceship. I only wish I could be around when the first man sets foot on Mars, and they will. Excellent space image Keith!
Nice work on the modeling. Also like your planet.
fantastic ship and planet, looks like you captured the Valles Marinarra Sauce, or whatever the hell it's called, the Martian Grand Canyon, perfectly. love the subtle greens blended with the rust reds
Wow Keith, love this piece....beautiful texture and angle, a fav with me!
really cool work K!
Awesome planet Keith and I agree with e-brink that the space craft has great shape. That's certainly some render time for a dual-core machine. Tony :-)
Excellent modelling and sci-fi image Keith! Great lighting and planet!
