Description
Chester Zoo trip.
There were many problems taking shots at the zoo, one was the inevitable difficult focussing through netting and wire fencing. This one came out OK through the fine netting!
I had great difficulty taking pictures inside animal and bird houses giving added problems of low light through netting.
I took over 400 shots lol, I have deleted over 100. I was that frustrated I forgot to collect information about the animals. But not All was lost I did get some cracking shots too, which I will upload later so I am Happy (and its always fun with Jeff around lol.)

A wonderful shot, dear Alan. Glad you had a good day with jeff. hugs. Di. xx
unusual squirrel, very nice, did you happen to get any photos of cows ? lol :) have a great day !
I checked to see If I had any info on this one Alan, but I don't, sorry, I took two pics of this one and deleted both, plus more than 50% of the rest as well. You have done well with this on, the netting was quite a small mesh as well, and you managed to focus through it. Most of mine the mesh showed up very strong. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!
Excellent capture my friend.Fences is a problem when taking pictures at the zoo as is glass cages.
Beautiful capture my friend. In 2007 I made 120 photos in the zoo and I deleted 100 of them so you did a good job.
Well ! You did pretty good with this shot ! I didn't know this kind of squirrel :-)
You did well considering the netting, a rather odd looking critter

This is a very wonderful squirrel. One I'm not familiar with. The coloring is fabulosu and the way it keeps its eye on you is great! Great capture no matter what the conditions. :-)
Interesting colors on this squirrel, Alan! Great capture, indeed!
wow hes beautiful I have never seen one with these colours before
Hi Alan wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
This is a lovely shot of this little fellow. I have never seen it in these beautiful colors before.
coloring is wonderful. Just only 100 deleted out of 400. sound like me. low lighing is hard and you have to play with some in photoshop to bring the image out like it should be. of couse camera movement you just have to delete lol
Beautiful capture Alan. I especially like the dof, Sig...
nice capture...
Excellent shot!! He knows you're behind :)
Well done Alan not easy with shorter focal lengths below 200mm to throw the DOF out it looks alien to our little squirrels but in my book of mammals may be Delmarva Peninsula fox squirrel.. But that may not be the case as there was no side on view to show those side colours..
what type of squirrel is it alan ,where from ?.excellent shot mate :o) mick
You are right, it can be very frustating to take photos at the zoo, it is not easy, sometimes I take 1000 captures because I know that only 10 or 20 captures will be good or near good.Nice capture and composition ! take it easy when you go to the zoo !
