Description
Sometimes I get motivated to paint when I see a photograph I particularly like. This painting was inspired by a photograph Vaggabondd posted a couple of days ago entitled It's Good To Be King
I had a lot of fun doing this! Many thanks to Randy for allowing the use of his image, and also for the title.
Background painted in ArtRage, details painted in Photoshop.

This is beautiful, Tara, and I find the sky colours very soothing!
There is such strong mood in this! I love the boldness of it too. Nice subtlety, but it's really the mood of the whole piece that I like! You've caught it wonderfully.

Very nice painting Tara, I have just had a look at the original, I'm impressed. I know you have done some in the past as I have seen some of them, I think this is the best so far though. You have captured the essence of it and put it to canvas so to say. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

WOW Tara! You did a wonderful job on this. You got the mood and the sky so beautiful. Well done.
The bird of prey, contrasted against the amber/yellow sky, sits comfortably on the slim branch, patiently perusing the landscape for its next meal. Splendiferous scene, employing various art media, in this posting, my friend!
