Description
One of these days I might run out of fotos from my trip to Atlanta, but it won't be soon!! There was just SO much to see and I think I got pix of everything. This is across the street from the HIGH museum; I just loved seeing this old house dwarfed by the building around it. Reminds me of a story my son and I read when he was about 3, a little house in the city that goes thru the same thing, then years later, a girl walks past it. She stops and looks, and realizes it's her grandmother's house. So she has it moved out to the country, where it sits on a little hill; exactly the way she remembered it!!!

It is a beautiful colorful picture but yet at the same time, our future will consume the past... Soon, it will be just a memory. Aloha
A great picture to illustrate the contrasts - both have beauty, of course, but we all have our preferences ... just like your wise and resourceful little girl. Mike
excellent capture, i like the reflections in the glass, great scene !!
Well seen and brilliantly captured Marilyn. Great image my friend. xx
I seem to recall a church in similar circumstances in New York, not too sure though it was quite a while back. This looks too nice to demolish, although I wouldn't like to live there myself, I wonder how many minutes of sunshine it gets in a month? Looking at the tall buildings not many. Excellent capture Marilyn. Bravo!!!!!
This is a beautiful shot, that brings tears to my eyes.
This is spectacular the way that house is surrounded by the modern buildings. Great capture, Marilyn.
A beautiful capture, I just love the colour. Although that house is dwarfed by the high buildings it is quite some house!!!
A beautiful picture, but I would hate to live where any bulding is more that 3 storeys high!
wonderful shot and story too
Amazing when you think about that house not really being that small - its just dwarfed by the highrises and progress... Outstanding shot and lovely postwork.
You've done it again! Stellar POV, clarity, colors and geometry in this excellent shot depicting the lovely tree and old mansion in elegant contrast against the massive modern high museum.
Haha fantastic story about that! and what a cool capture my cool friend!!!
we have the same situation in Dallas. excellent cityscape and good you are back
Excellent photography my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROBY ;o)
This is exquisite! Quite telling as well! I wonder about the history of that house!
can you imagine what it looked like before the big buildings took over??? A Really Beautiful place and it is So Nice that they preserved it instead of tearing it down in the name of progress!!!!
Great capture! The house and the tree look like they're from a totally different world. Well seen!
