Description

Pavane Lachrimae. Pavane, old dance inspired on the peacock. Lachchrimae, “flow my tears”, a pop hit (ayre) published by lute player John Dowland in 1600, a real tear jerker. The melody became a source of inspiration for many composers, among others for the famous Amsterdam organ player Jan Pieter Sweelinck (1562-1621), one of the predecessors of Johann Sebastian Bach as composer of works for organ, harpsichord and choirs. Two layer UF spiral, based on Mike Williams’ Wurlitzer formula, in combination with a Doodads and Thingamajigs coloring. Thanks for your views, comments and favs. Great Sunday to all.

I love the movement and colors in this. I learn so much out here from others. Such interesting information. I have always loved the pavane. I studied those old dances at the University when I once majored in dance. Great choice for a title. One of my favorite pieces of music is Ravel's "Pavane for a Dead Princess". Beautiful fractal. I can imagine a slow courtly dance in there.
