Description
A couple of months ago Elizabeth aka G_Mansco posted a photograph of a fan. I have the same fan, and she got me started thinking about things I could do with it! (See her gallery post for February 29th.) I took a whole bunch of shots, and this was the one I liked best.
The reason my fan is dark along the upper edge where Elizabeth's is not, is that one day a year or so ago I picked up the fan and it slipped out of my hand and fell, plop!, into my glass of Drambuie. (I am a VERY light drinker, and was totally sober at the time. Really!) It dried to a beautiful shade, don't you think? And yes, I still drank the Scotch, in case you're wondering, and suffered no ill effects. I'm sure the alcohol killed any germs that may have been on the fan, and it's probably a sin to waste even one jigger of Drambuie!
I hope your weekend has been lovely!

cool mix of colors
The scotch just adds class to the image.. bottoms up..:)
Love the colors , great shot ! Ana
nice mood, great composition
It look that nice I'd be tempted to soak the whole fan, then again that would be a waste, so forget that idea. Wonderful composition Tara, what are those blue flowers with what looks like a red pod underneath the bloom? A nice balance of colour I think and the fan does look pretty in the background. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!
Superb floral composition, with beautiful lighting and sharpness of details.
Wonderful details. A wide variety of color here as well. This looks very nice!
Excellent shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Tara May this is wonderful your words are fun thanks for the smile sweet sunshine to you warm hug and love, Linda Kaye
Great shot Tara I am becoming a fan of your work hehehehehehe!!!
Lovely selection of colors and flowers in this. The fan is a great background. I am not much of a Drambuie advocate. A bit more bite than I can handle but I do like a gin and Fresca on occasion.
I just love these mixed bouquets. wonderful shot with the fan as a background, even with the stain... which is a good memory.
A nice idea with the fan for the background, beautiful colorful image!!
See what the boys in the back room will have, and give me the same...hic! A vast array of colorful objects, both natural and artificial, on display in this marvelous capture! This shot definitely fans the flame of original concepts, my dear!
that fan do look wonderful even the stan the scotch left on it.
Beautiful Flowers and composition !
Lots of colour from this arrangement of flowers and after reading your drambuie story I can see the blush stain on the fan. I think there is alot to be said for alcohol killing germs.
It IS a sin, but you are forgiven, since you took this gorgeous foto!!
