Description
A shot which was and is difficult to compose..I am still trying.
This is new life on a tree near where I sit at night and listen for an owl. Last year, a sudden frost took all new leaves from the trees and we were fortunate the living things survived.
Each year I attempt to capture new life. The one from last year is here:

Sigma 50mm macro, Nikon strobe on cord held to the left of Nikon D70, flash EV -3. Focus was the problem at the onset. Still, to get the crop right...oh my.

This is BEAUTIFUL! The lighting creates such marvelous deep shadows that so enhance the tender leaves. This is such a whole and filling shot of spring.
