Hello or good evening to you all! Yesterday we had a short discusion here about birds - so this is dedicated to Lucindawind: This pic here shows some of these cormorans, too. They have a small colony in the trees at the left side. This is a small island with a refugium for rare animals as these birds. Entering these island is strictly forbidden for normal people like us. Only scientists enter here.... This is one of two colonies I know about, maybe there are one or two more. None of these colonies counts more then 50 birds. Cormorans here are an indicator for relatively clear water with a lot of different fishes inside. Things turn to the better side, and thats good. And folks, don`t forget: We are in Germany here! I´m sure, every bird has a name, a number (very important!), a ring around its leg, a passport, a security police, a hospital`s document, and the scientists know very well, what every bird eats, how much and when......LOL Thanks for looking in here, comments are welcome. And thanks for your interest in my older pics here. Pic was taken at 31th December 2007, the last day in 2007, a warm and bright winters day....
