Description
It's been rainy and gray here, but on Saturday the sun came out and it was almost 80F at my place! The weather is back to being dreary again, but that one day did wonders for the landscape. Flowers are starting to bloom, trees are beginning to turn green, and I finally believe Spring is really going to happen! :) It generally does, of course, but this has been a LONG winter.
So I thought I'd take a little commercial break from showing you my neighborhood beach, and bring you a bit of lovely Spring sunshine with this parrot tulip.
Speaking of that series, the last image in my gallery "Solitude ... a collaboration" was up for about a day, and then got moved elsewhere on site. (It's a long story.) It's back in the Photography gallery now, thanks to our moderators, (thanks again, Bruce!) so if you missed it, you can see it here.

It's finally Spring, and all is right with the world, or something to that effect. Actually, it's been Springtime in my neck of the woods for several weeks already. In fact we had a short heat wave over the weekend, with temps near 100 degrees fahrenheit. Temps back to normal now. Haven't had rain for a long time. But I digress. Absolutely stunning clarity, color blends and lighting effects in this shot of lovely petals I don't recognize, which is no surprise.
very beautiful flower... and a special work!!!
Thjat's a gorgeous OOV for a gorgeous 'parrot'.just lovely!
holy freakin' moley... that's pretty.
Love those ruffled petals, like flames in different sweet colors.
Beautiful
Nah, this must be summer. If it were spring there would still be raindrops on the petals. This is gorgeous, Tara. I don't think I'd ever seen one of these.
fantastic work..
Love the feathery look to this colourful tulip Tara, BTW I must coonfess I sneaked onto the edge of someones garden to capture my grape Hyacinth lol.

Wonderful image! I have always loved the showy and spectacular parrot tulips, and this is a superb image!
This is a gorgeous capture! I love the brilliance and the wonderfully captured nimbus of light! I've been on this light kick recently (partly because it's been so dreary and CLOUDY here) so seeing a brilliantly lit, and brilliantly colored image is great for me. This is a gorgeous shot on every level!
I've seen spring from one coast to the other this last week, but this one is especially wonderful~~just gorgeous!!!
Fantastic shot, however KOMO is calling for snow levels too 500 ft. and 1 to 2 ft. of snow in the passes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
