Description
I'm on the road again (hmm, nice title for a song!), this time heading to Atlanta, Georgia. Lot of pix from there soon, but in the meantime, I found this one I took on one of my river walks. Just an old, lost, dirty, dried up, lost shoe, but somehow it spoke to me (must not have lost its tongue, oh, geez, I am losing it!!) and here you have it!!

Colorful way of presentation...enjoy your journey....
These kinda things make real interesting subjects, I like the warmth of the postwork. Enjoy yourself Girl!
Nicely handled. A yesteryear feel to the photograph ... which give it a story. Is that a story to boot?:0) Sorry, couldn't help myself there. Very thoughtful photograph. Like it alot.
lol... lost it's tongue!!! Great presentation that turned this tongueless old shoe into a strong image. xx
Excellent and very imaginative, i hope you are enjoying your trip.
Keep up the awful puns, Marilyn, I LOVE 'em! Super image!

And there is a sort of dance style called 'soft shoe.' No, I'm not old enough to remember when it was popular...lol This capture is truly a color stunner.
Marilyn you do keep me in stitches! Great idea and super capture of the shoe.
you have a unique way for focusing on objects in your shots. looks good Mo! ^^
cool find and wonderful postwork
I like the bright contrasting colors, lighting and textures in this shot, Marilyn! Apparently the owner of that old soft shoe was the tasty appetizer for some sort of predatory creature that came leaping out of the river to snatch the poor unsuspecting soul. And, it's been close to a million years since I visited Atlanta, GA.
Well if the shoe fits :o) Sorry Marilyn, I just couldn't resist that.. Excellent work, love the creativity work you have been doing lately!!
Be Safe cause it is Headed your way Soon!!! Nice shot!!!
such a sweet capture thanks for the smile, Linda
I like this! You've taken something quite ordinary and made it special. Have fun in Atlanta! :)
Ooh, brilliant color, wonderful postwork! I've missed seeing your posts, but ah...I'm back. This is an incredibly touching capture in many ways, and it kinda reminds me of those old, mythic stories in which a hero (heroine) goes wandering into a village with only one shoe. Apparently the one shoe'd hero is incredibly archetypical, and in a sense it's fitting as you posted this image just before the start of your own journey. It's wonderful how that work!
Nice capture, I like the post work here, cool idea!
