Interesting - i've just been reading Bernard Cornwell's ongoing (fiction) series on Alfred the Great's time period, and this place crops up a lot (as the monastery it was) Lindisfarena i think it was called back then. And as far as the story goes it was separated by tidal mudflats, and the protagonist led a raid on the monastery at one point... hehe :) Anyway - nice shot, the posts lead the eye into the shot although the composition is a bit awkward... Nice colours too :)
Very nice shot, as your gallery is. You should be awarded by the British Office of Tourism.
Excellent shot!
Excellent POV. Very well shot.
An impressive composition, very well done!!
The rotting wood leading up to the base of the castle is great. Gives it a further old and historic feel. Great compo. Excellent shot.
Fantastic depth, and what a view!
Wonderful shot ;)
I like the perspective, a lot. I feel like I'm really there, myself, crouching down on the wet stones and looking up at the castle.
Great shot!
Love your POV! This is the kind of photography I want to start taking.
