Description
Seems like everyone was keeping an eye on this poor little tree. The top seems to be burning faster than the bottom. A lesson learned. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Awww, poor tree is right. Not where I would want to be...
Yeah, I see a devil or dragon face. Poor guy must be burning up. Too close.... Great shot Errol. Aloha
Oh yes, interesting picture!
This series has me totally captivated. I would never have imagined all of the ferns that are growing in this lava, and now a tree as well (well, I'm sure it isn't growing now). WOW!
interesting to see these.
Excellent capture, its amazing how new life sprouts up after awhile between the layers.
my god i had no idea of the scale of this ..... unbelievable!
This is totally fascinating, Errol. I could watch this for hours.
Excellent shot of this amazing process.

Ouch!
wpw i see a drogon with the flame comming out of the mouth in this one !!! and that poor little tree!!!.... great lava shot!
As usual, an excellent POV, colors and textures in this shot of the hot stuff, Shark! I wonder how this looked to the inhabitants of Pompeii right before they were swallowed up by all that lava.
Wow, he's close, must be HOT ~~ yeah don't think that tree's gonna last much longer.
Amazing shot. That guy I recon too close. Sorry for a young tree, nothing stand a chance with a dangerous hot lava.
This really brings home the size of this flow and puts a human spin on it. Great capture.
Astonishing that he can bear to be so close, wonderfilled image!
Great capture! Does he have a gallery here on RR? Will we be seeing a picture of you on the other side of this lava river? :)
Good Lord! I can't believe that gentleman got that close! The heat must have been incredible and he's so close to the molten lava, how does he know that the crust beneath his feet is sturdy enough to hold his weight ?!?! Braver than I!
hot ... very hot ! interesting !
Maria...The crust below him is from an old flow and he is about 10-15 feet away from the hot fresh lava. The wind also helps blowing the heat away from him... Aloha
fantastic:)
