Description
This represents a big chunk of the last week or so. Not only have I pruned most of my apple trees, I chopped, cut, sliced and diced just about every piece of wood. That all turns into firewood, which I then burn in my wood stove. That's all the heat I have, so I take any and all wood that comes my way. You might want to read a poem in Writer's that I posted the other day; it relates directly to all this work!!

Yup. I took down 2 camphor trees and 2 apples trees in the last 3 years. Sad thing is, I cut it and stacked it but ended up giving it all away because I don't have any way to burn it. Last year it was tearing out the grass, putting in concrete walks and building the garden islands. This year I am hoping to take a break. I put up the windmill and I've done some planting but other than that I'd like to just live with things the way they are for a change. :-)
it's a war zone out there!! >< haha!! looks good Mo!!
Great collage, You ladies just work far too hard ! Liked the poem I clicked on the link. Good that you have all those heavy power tools Marilyn. A great job well done.
Looks like a lot of work
Busy Busy!!! and quite a cool collage of your crafty work!
your a very busy girl...great collage of lots of hard work
Ah! Thats my girl! A woman after my own heart. Love the pics.
It's hard work just looking at it Marilyn, I used to say, 'I love hard work, I can sit and look at it all day. lol. At least you are recycling in a manner, and even the small stuff can be used as kindling. You have some wicked looking equipment there as well, I can even see some gloves? Excellent collage. Bravo!!!!!
I see you do love your 'woodworking' hobbies, Marilyn.
It's all smokeless fuels where I live ... I do miss the smell of wood smoke - I'd even put up with the hard work! Great stuff. Mike
i`m surprised you need to burn wood at all with these full days of chopping and cutting :o)..just looking at these pics wears me out mick
Hi Marilyn bet you feel good hard work does wonders for the soul awesome work sweet smile to you warm hug, Linda
Now you are one hell of a woman. Where have you been all my life Marilyn. Great pic.
Sublim collage Marilyn, wonderfull details!
I can appreciate the work having had 1700 plus apple trees on my acreage. I had planted them to help reduce my stress level: give me something to do. Boy did they end up giving me something to do....lol. Great collage..always enjoy the pictures.
Interesting collage on display here. Except for the chainsaw and shears, I'd say these photos were taken back in the 19th century, what with all the chopping, cutting, stripping, slicing, dicing, and pruning you're going thru. Since he started all this in the first place, Johnny Appleseed should have at least given you a hand with this chore.
this is super like the poem yesterday. i all tried out now just looking at the images and reading the poem lol just think is you had to use a ax on all this lol ... cool image too
It's all the little stuff that would make me crazy, but it makes great kindling! Excellent job with the saws and loppers, and with the photography and postwork, too!
I'm exhausted just from looking at this wonderful colleague :o)
wonderful collage, very well done!
Wow you busy girl, all that and you take pictures too....great
There's these wonderful little fire places called chimnea's. They are free standing little things and fit well into small yards. They are lovely to look at and take the chill off the evenings so nicely as well as letting you use all that wood. There is no installing required, just place it and go!
