Description
These young men I saw on the side of of the road at Lake Martin was going to fix they duck blind for use next year. They boat is a Pirogue [sound like peerow in American English] It small so people can get around trees easy.
I did ask them if I can take they photo and they say yes . I did not use the one they pose but this one which is natural looking

Wonderfull capture, a splendid place Jock!
Super shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool capture Jock :)
you can not go in this area of Lake Martin as the birds are back and nesting. You can when they not there.
took in feb.
no alidials?
Someone who knows what they are going can get along in a pirogue just fine but they sit so low to the waterline they worry me. One large man and a dog puts it right at the bailing point. :-) Good shot. I like the swampy feel with the green of the algae and the cyprus trees.
Yeah, that pirogue looks like you have to learn it young or you'll be in the water when you didn't plan to. Very nice candid shot, my friend!
I love to see the area, Jocko! The trees and the water is just amazing!
Amazing place..magnific capture! :)
Beautiful and brilliant Photography, Excellent!!Congratulations!!Luminous blesing. Ludy
Wow looks like they be in a murky situation a bit!!! fantastic scenery Jock!
A good picture.I think it is better than any posed shot would have been.
Great shot, Jock, though I hope they get back in the boat so the gators don;t sneak up on them!!
Remarkable Work! 5!
Great shot of the cypress swamps!
An excellent capture of the swamp and the duck hunters, who are in the act of setting up shop to blow away another one, or more, of our fine feathered friends. I hope all that effort is just for food.
this shows the possible quality from your Nikon.clarity and focus is right on the mark.the canoe is a strange one.I can imagine how hard it would be to sit on the 2x8 for a long time while rowing
Must be pretty warm down there now. Great shot, Jocko!
Great capture, Jock. Wow, that area is sure swampy...perfect place for ducks, I imagine.
Realy like a background with all the green stuff covers a water surface.
Now that is a True Southern Marsh!!! I Really Like this photo Jocko!!!
Hope there is no Gators about, I don't think I would be game enough to be outside the boat, no matter how small ! The Cypress trees seem dead, maybe it's all that weed strangling them ? then again, maybe they are O.K., as I don't know much about swamps ! ~Cheers~
A great shot of the swamps and always good to get the natural shots of people. excellent capture!
A fabulous shot of the swamp area! No crocos around! LOL
very interesting!
Cool shot Jock.So you eatin all the crawdads up?? Its the season right.About to come to the end isnt it ??
I don't know about chest high waders, I would want a suit of armour to be standing in there. No way would I get into that tiny thing either, sneeze and your in the sh1t. Excellent capture Jocko, I can't believe he is going to get in with the other guy, that darn thing is just tooo small. I see only one of them has waders on as well, I guess he has the hard part of the job, in the water. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
They seem entrapped by duck weeds left by widow ducks from last year.
I agree natural shots are the best when you say smile its never the persons smile lol; great capture ::
