Description

Another so-simple image. The Vought F4U Corsair turned into a real pilot's favourite, having been brought in, and succeeding, to stop the carnage being inflicted by the Zero's in the Pacific war. I have endeavoured to create a suitable image on behalf of the many folks out there who still appreciate the aesthetics of propeller-powered flight. (One of the beauties of digital imaging is that it enables some of us to start with an absolutely blank canvas and make both models and pictures exactly as we wish). I am grateful to you all for viewing my humble efforts so often.

Nice Image ! ----------------------- I'd pay some more attention to the cowling/nacelle top part if I were you, the the way it slopes tends to look more like a long-nose Fw 190-Dora ------------------------ Love the scenery , and just noticed that the sea is ominous too ! P.

He's climbing so why aren't his cowl flaps open? Perhaps a COTS comment. I hope not. Based on my CV-340 and DC-6 observations from a window seat. Once you're above the clouds, the bumping stops and the cowl flaps close.
