Description
Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, Rochdale UK.
A man-made reservoir built in 1801 to supply the Rochdale Canal. Covers an area of 130acres(0.53Km2)
The old Hamlet of Hollingworth lies under the cold water.
Since 1989 the lake now offers recreational water activities including -
Sailing, Canoeing, rowing, swimming rafting and fishing. a great asset to local schools.
