Coffee thick as mud
Baked beans
Jerky and biscuits
Rattlesnakes
Cactus
The smell
Of a 1,000 head of cattle
Campfires
Coyotes howling
Moon light
Fire flies
Sketters and ticks
Nights so clear
You can peek into heaven
Crickets sing
The cowboy's love song

I was watching the mini series lonesome dove today and thought I would give a shot at writing a cowboy poem. I hope everyone likes it. Vaggabondd
I can see cowboys around a campfire. "Nights so clear you can peek into heaven." A cowboy love song, for sure. Beautifully done!
