Home Sweet Home
Two weeks gone
Two week of work
Play visits fun
Two weeks away
It's funny
How being away
Changes so much
Makes things different
It's not that
I did anything
So radical
Or strange
It's just that
I was not at home
And just that
Makes my life
Just a bit off
I love being gone
Being other places
Doing other things
But that moment
I turn up my street
Heading for my house
And seeing it
Then I know
I am home
I am in the
Best place
In the world

Very cool one! and that is so true what you stated in your writing :-) and OMG I love your photo of your home, looks great with this post work! have a great time at home sweet home ;-)
Home sweet Home!! Your home looks cozy
NIce place and even a privacy fence, huh?!?! Nothing like being where you Love to be!!!
The words are lovely and the image is a perfect match, it looks so dreamy and welcoming, a beautiful curving pathway leading up between the flower beds full of colour. A warming sight indeeed. Wonderful poem. Bravo!!!!!
It's nice to 'get away from it all' ... but at the end of the day 'home is where the heart is' ... they may both be cliches, but they are, nevertheless, very true. As always your writing is clear and precise, a joy to read. Mike
And that path leading to your door in the accompanying photo just says, 'Welcome.' Nice words, as always, Marilyn.
glad your back safely marilyn ,its true home is where the heart is :o)..love your home and love the postwork mick
I adore your words and pict Marylin!
It's always good to get back home. Well said! I particularly like the rhythm of "and just that makes my life ... just a bit off." Perfect!
Awesome Shot, Love the concept and I LOVE the post processing!!
You have that right! ;o) Excellent.
This is a fantastic work...so true! Having the best of both worlds is utterly fantastic...having a home and places to travel to. That's always the best thing. The image with this is superb as well. I love the whole thing, and I agree Tara...the pacing/cadence of this is great!
so true ; home the best place. I read that when you do things diff it help your brain to grow new cells and electons and stuff like that that why it diff.
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home...isn't that what Dorothy said to Toto when she woke up back in her bed in Kansas? Now that you're back safe and sound in your cozy bailiwick, with batteries recharged, you're all set to go again! Great column of insight, and nice gauzy image, Marilyn.
Be it ever so humble there is no place like home. Very nice my friend :)
As Bukowski often said, all a man (or woman) needs are four walls, without that you haven't got a chance in this world. Having a home, how rich are we...
There is no place like home. Great prose again.
