I was asked to provide an Eagle image that could be associated with the Sun, so maybe you can forgive a few blown highlights in order to get her beak to light up from the reflected sunshine..
The strong link between eagles and the sun can be traced through many cultures. The Aztecs told how during the creation of the present world, the eagle and the jaguar fought over who would have the honour of becoming the sun. The eagle settled the matter by flinging himself into a fire and, thus, becoming the sun. The jaguar, following close behind, settled for becoming the moon, with the spots on his coat showing that he had been only partially burned. In light of this tale, it's easy to see why the Aztec eagle and jaguar warrior societies were considered the most elite of the military orders. The Aztecs also tied the eagle to the sun in another way, comparing the daily journey of the all-important sun to an eagle's flight: rising on the warming air of morning and swooping down out of sight at night in pursuit of prey.

Wonderful!! I like the blown highlights, actually, it is as if the feathers are light in themselves. You could try to fix that area in Photoshop with the either the burn tool or the magic wand and adjusting the levels manually. A light touch might do it. Still, I really like it this way, though. ;o)

A fascinating legend you have provided to go with this classic and beautiful pose. Your eagles are always superb and the illuminated beak with nearly translucent color is gorgeous!

When I saw the thumbnail I was disappointed you had moved on from the owls but then I opened the thumb and WOW! I do love the light through the beak! It shows the strong part and the lesser part very well. Excellent, Danny.
