Description
Boy, Am I Tired
Oh has this
Been one of
Those great
Kinds of days
It started out early
Cuz I was meeting
A friend for
A day at the beach
But first I had
Have my coffee
Take my walk
And my shower
Then I had
A few other
Stupid things
I had to do
Finally it was time
To head to
The beach
And off we went
The road was full
Of new things
New sights
New places
Sights and places
I’d never seen before
And isn’t that
Always a great thing
We stopped
Whenever and where ever
We wanted
To take fotos
Well of course
We took fotos
Isn’t that just
The way of life
Then there it was
The beach the ocean
A little foggy
But not bad
Seals gulls sand
Water rocks flowers
Everywhere I looked
There was something to see
We walked up and down
Finding the simplest things
Sometimes finding
Something not so simple
Sometimes there would
Be some little thing
That just seemed
A bit more special
And that became
The perfect foto
The one shot
We came for
It was a great day
Just one of those
Special kinds of days
And I had a great time
But boy am I tired

Very cool one Marilyn! and yep I know what you mean by always striving to find something more interesting lol! and yeah, that can wind a person down a bit specially if doing it all day! fantastic writing again :-) and very cool photo as well ~ great beach shot! Have a fantastic Friday! ~ Hugssssss
Those are the best kind of days to get tired over.Nice shot.
Looks like you forgot to feed the birds, that one on the rock is eying me Suspiciously for a hand out!!! NIce shot!!!
Nice little snapshots to support the observation that having a fun day can be suprisingly very tiring! Mike

love yout writing. It down to earth and it sumes up how I feel too.
Ah, one of those days.. I long for them very much. And I LOVE your poems.
Ah...another beautiful glimpse into your life! I love your poetry and your commentaries and this stands up there among your best! It touches on so much and it reminds me of that wonderful exhaustion you can only get from an adventure of discovery, fun, and all of the other stuff on the pleasurable end of the experience-spectrum. Great stuff here! Wonderful image too! I love it!
Show me the way to go home, I'm tired and I wanna go to bed, I took way too many photos today, and it went right to my head.... It sounds like you had quite a day of it alright, Marilyn....sand, surf, saltwater, seagulls, shoes, ships, sealing wax, etc. I'd be worn out, too. In any case, fine prose and avian image.
Lovely capture and poem.
I'm glad you guys had such a good time! Even having heard the story, your poem fills in gaps we didn't talk about. That's undoubtedly the mark of an excellent bit of writing! You showed me something through your poetry that didn't come out in the conversation. Wonderful work!
Wonderful! In a way it reminded me of my early school trips. I always ended my report for the teacher with : "tired but satisfied we went back home" ..lol
