Everyone is talking
No one is listening
Everyone wants something
Something from me
They seem to think
The louder they get
The more I’ll hear
But you
You lover
You whisper
And my head snaps
You say soft things
And I listen
To every word
Your quiet ways
Melts my heart
I block everyone
And everything out
I pay attention
Because it would crush my heart
If I missed your next whisper
