Description
I chose this Peregrine falcon for todays 900th upload and because this bird is perhaps the most amazing of our birds of prey we have here in the UK, with flight speeds in a dive of 200mph certainly is impressive to watch.. This one on the handlers glove looking out after a "rouse".. Shaking it feathers to get ready.. The term from falconers language which many everyday words we use come from..
The whole world seemed to be reflecting in its eyes and it would seem that populations of this bird here is on the up since the banning of pesticides which has caused it's demise in the United States and Canada, and also the many attempts at re-introduction. Nevertheless it has found it's way into the cities and can make use of tall buildings so it is ever adaptable.
Thanks for taking time to view and your comments

Congrats for your milestone. A fantastic shot. This falcon is very impressive, I know also how hard is to catch at fly.
