Birch trees have to be one of my favorites...I love their beautiful white bark. Nice shot!
Thanks, Michelle .... one of my favorites also, and they pose so willingly (smile)
Too bad the camera don't reaviel what the eye sees in a morning like this. this past week gave us lots of sights this in the midwest states. hope to see more
Lovely shot.
Really nice composition with everything shooting up and curving down.
A great choice of subject matter..nicely done!
This looks like one of the tree's in my front yard about a month ago! I live in Peoria and assume that this was taken after the same storm???? Am I right. Lovely picture.
..... close to same area; actually shot near Jacksonville Illinois several years ago. This is a scan of that 35mm transparency (finally getting around to entering the digital world .... ;-) ) The original Ektachrome was scanned at 2700dpi and then converted to greyscale, density/contrast adjusted, slightly cropped and then gamma tweaked to try to match the original wet-process print that was made from the same slide..... the resulting output from the printer was suprisingly close, but I have a LOT yet to learn about the "digital world" ..... :-)
