Description
Alright, I'm going to go Jeff-Style, and do a 'what am I' kind of thing.
If anyone can tell me what this is, I would be so happy. I've looked in my 2 bird books, but to no avail.
Yesterdays upload: A Wood Duck and Mallard Together. (Hmmmm)
Todays upload: A _______., that appears to have a Turkey for a parent and possibly a Mallard.
I wonder if the Nuke Plant is possibly causing these animals to do abnormal things? It makes me wonder. lol
What do you think .............

Lol its a Duck Shari... Though I think it is probably a female Comb Duck (Sarkidiornis melanotos) The males have a distinctive knob on its beak
A Comb Duck? Huh .. he must have lost his comb. :|
Ducks are notoriously promiscuous, we've a lot of mixtures around here. More likely that Danny will be right, tho!
Could be a Muscovy duck, i know for sure its not donald anyway LOL.
Very beautiful and very nice! Very well done!
Well there is a slight resemblance to the ducks I googled Danny, but only some of them. grin It sure looks funny and I will have to check on other comments. Sharp eye Shari.
Maybe it's the child of that couple from yesterday, hee hee ;) He is a funky looking duck, great personality :)
Beautiful!
looks to be an uncombed duck. Less tedious preening makes more time for other activities!
Well I think he must be the original Ugly Duckling, and his father is Danny Kaye.lol. He could be a punk duck Shari, certainly a fun duck, look at him strut his stuff. He's given me a fit of the giggles thats for sure, so he can't be a bad duck.#;0). Excellent capture and well spotted, to find him amongst all those swans, geese and ducks, fantastic. I love it. Bravo!!!!!
Very nice capture erland
If ever a bird of this size asks you "What am I?" just explain to it: "You are two souls. I see you right now in your incarnation as bird. And I would love to see you in you incarnation as dinner!" That usually stops them from askin questions. Works with kids, too. (Btw - awesome pic!)
Anyway, it's a pretty little fellow and looking at YOU!;-)
excellent !!
great shot!
Muscovey duck... from South America..
Nice work.
Wow you certainly captured an unusual cute little guy here Shari, I wonder what it really is? - hugs Jane xx
an individualist!
Excellent!!!
Hey this one looks very lovely - what a nice moment
LOL, laughing at the comments you have gotten. He certainly is an odd duck, isn't he? And would not expect to see him among the swans and geese! Well seen and captured, Shari! :)
great:)
Gorgeous shot and its an interesting little guy.. :o)
I see one around here once and awhile but just one so not sure if it's just passing thru or if there are others I just haven't spotted.
