Description
This is intended to be a shorter-duration ship that isn't designed for distances, but rather to move cargo containers from and to the ships that will be carying them. I started out envisioning a ship that could be used to move in either direction, but forgot to attach the grapplers on the other end... Oops. Ah well, you get the idea, anyway.
The ship was modeled in Bryce 6, built entirely with primitives, and the materials are mostly either made by myself or modified presets that came with the program.
The starscape and planet, as well as alot of postwork and compositing, were all done in Photoshop CS2.
Thanks for taking a look, and suggestions and comments are certainly appreciated!

I like the concept! I like how your robotic arms/grips remind me of the pods in 2001! You might try varying the textures a bit on the arms, make the parts look flexible. The singular texture makes them look solid and immobile? Great sense of scale! Love the lighting too!
You did a very ggod work on this one! The model of the ship is fantastic.. love this space scene. Well done :)
Cool scene! Very nice work.
Asteroidadamustically super!
I like the full composition and the lighting details are great~
Excellent modelling and textures, and overall scene. Amazed that you can create such models in Bryce!
Nice composition, you have created the tug boat of space, a ship designed for work. Excellent render. Todd
A very utilitarian design, like the fact you stripped it of any un-neccessary detailing as it would be.Like the concept and background work,do agree a slight variation in textures would add a little more interest overall, but definitely a great model!
did real cool work here. I think Digimon got something
Cool ship and excellent image well done...
Unless the grappling arms are repositionable..that would make sense I think. And I agree with Digimon, the arms look a bit too solid, but overall this looks really cool!
Excellent modelling work!
Superb image! Excellent lighting and models!
